DCSS Child Support Services 12/2010
As it relates to family law and if you are interested and looking for a responsive and knowledgeable attorney or firm – this is to highly recommend the professional services of Michael “Mike” Efron.

For four years, I was trapped in the inefficiencies and extremely bureaucratic child & spousal support system. I had been involved in a work related injury in 2005 which led to permanent disability – there is no state administrative assistance or considerations for non-custodial parents regarding this.

I am speaking from real and personal “experience” – as i made all the mistakes possible… starting with the dumbest… which was representing myself. Yes, i had no income and/or benefits coming from disability for over three years. Then, i hired an online paperwork legal filing service – again, that’s all i could afford. And i also tried the Family Law Facilitator services, which were over five hundred miles away. Finally and thanks to a favorable Social Security benefits & decision, i thought i could hire the “best” – i.e. flashy website & offices – representation… wrong!

Finally and thanks to my investigative and scientific research experience – i decided to create the ideal profile for a family law attorney; and i left my computer search through thousands of webpages, names and cases – that’s how Mike surfaced to the top and without anyone coming close. There is absolutely none in Orange County that knows how to deal with DCSS and the courts better than Mike – period!

Knowing that I had already been unfairly labeled, treated and persecuted as a deadbeat father for four years – Mike was able to challenge the whole case. He first had to fix my own mistakes due to “self representation” and then that of “others”; and within three months – on my first ever day in court with a real attorney on this case, the judge listened to my side of the story. The result was that the whole support obligation stopped – permanently.

The next challenge was “to erase” the tens of thousands in accumulated “ärrearages” back support – i.e. 100% of it after the injury. I knew that “i would win” if I ever decided to litigate… but it could take another year(s) and certainly, thousands of additional dollars in the fight; and that’s not very intelligent.

The best for both parties and/or everyone in the case was, to come to terms with a final payoff settlement agreement – one that had nothing to do with case accounting or lack off, but only with common sense. Or more important – with permanent peace and tranquility for the parties. It had to be a sensible agreement and one that both parties would walk out and live happy with. Even one that the judge would agree and say: “this is an intelligent agreement” – as it happened.

I can sit now and reflect on what i’ve accomplished this last twelve months – Absolute Peace. And this is 100% due to Mike’s focused and persistent effort – in listening (or reading!), dedicating and getting me exactly where I had asked him I looked forward to be today. Thank You Mike!

Going through a divorce can be unpleasant, scary, and full of financial and emotional uncertainties.
